When it comes to priorities, Microsoft has made it clear that it wants to bring artificial intelligence to as wide a range of users as possible. Microsoft 365 Copilot is one of the many AI products the company is currently working on. Although it was announced back in March, it is expected to finally be available to a wider audience at the end of the year. By all accounts, Microsoft 365 Copilot is well worth the wait.
In short, Copilot can be seen as a far more powerful and advanced version of Microsoft’s original assistant Clippy, but unlike it, Copilot uses artificial intelligence to help users with documents, spreadsheets and presentations.
Here’s a summary of what Copilot brings to some of the 365 products:
Outlook – Microsoft claims that Copilot can help you manage your inbox much more efficiently, so much so that it will no longer take you hours, but minutes.
Excel – Judging by the available video materials, you can ask Copilot to analyze data in tables to find trends and create a visualization of that data.
PowerPoint – For the first time, you will be able to create a presentation using prompts. For example, users can create an entire slideshow by entering details in the appropriate fields.
Word – This powerful tool will take full advantage of Copilot’s GPT-4 roots. Microsoft says you’ll be able to create first drafts using commands, which can save you hours and hours. Users will be able to accept drafts, edit them, and more.
Power Platform – Build business solutions by defining an application in Power Apps in natural language or describing a workflow to implement in Power Automate.
Microsoft also plans to launch Copilot in the form of a business chat, which works across the range of 365 applications.
But that’s not all, Microsoft has also implemented artificial intelligence in its ERP solution. At the GoPro Partner Summit, held on September 14, 2023. in the Moxy hotel, Damir Barjaktarević (GoPro, Delivery Director) showed some of the possibilities of applying AI within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central in his presentation.
Microsoft is constantly investing in the development of Copilot, expanding its capabilities and integration with other Microsoft 365 applications. As artificial intelligence continues to advance, we can expect Copilot to become even more intelligent and proactive, allowing users to accomplish far more in less time.
We have no doubt that Microsoft Copilot has a bright future ahead of it and that all Microsoft 365 users are eager to experience the full capabilities it provides.
